One of the most striking, deeply personal, and moving photographs I own was taken by the incredible documentary photographer Loli Kantor who photographed the remains of Jewish life in Ukraine in 2005. Mr. Beizer survived the Shoah by hiding out as a boy in a closet in Ukraine.
